|
In response to the challenges posed by globalization and to cultivate internationally competitive talent for Taiwan, our department established the International Master's Program four years ago and the International Bachelor's Program three years ago. These programs are the only psychology-related programs in Taiwan offering full English-taught curricula. The operation of the international programs involves not only the organization of resources for course offerings but, more importantly, assisting international students in adapting to life at National Dong Hwa University and inspiring local students to accept challenges and excel in the international setting. Associate Professor Shu-Chung Chen served as the mentor for third-year students and was also the first mentor for the International Bachelor's Program. Over the past three years, she has devoted herself to her students, assisting both local and international students with course-related and life issues. She has made international students in both the Master's and Bachelor's programs feel the warmth and care of a family, creating a nurturing and supportive environment. Her dedication as a mentor has been crucial not only to the student's learning stability in our department but also to the key success of the International Bachelor's Program. Our department believes that Professor Chen, with her genuine care, has contributed to providing a sense of security for both international and local students at National Dong Hwa University. Therefore, we are honored to recommend her for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Outstanding Mentor Model Award. |

This has fostered harmonious and positive interactions between her and students. Despite being a young member of our department, Professor Lee has actively contributed to both her teaching responsibilities and research work. She has also been deeply involved in student life, creating valuable learning and living experiences for students at National Dong Hwa University. Our department believes that Professor Lee, with her enthusiasm and dedication to students, has helped establish the "dynamic integration" value of mentorship in our department. Therefore, we are honored to recommend her for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences Outstanding Mentor Model Award. |
